6天5夜澳门&香港豪华旅游之 - The Budget Terminal篇

25 April 2007

5 of us departed very early in the morning and looking forward for a 'Big Breakfast' in Singapore. But by that time i reach the budget terminal, I was so disappointed!

The layout is so simple, and I couldn't find my 'big breakfast'!! Only one restaurant there and the food taste so-so only.... I was very very disappointed......

After breakfast , then it's time for us to check in. Not many ppl in the queue therefore no need to hurry.

Furthermore, we have already book our seat using the Seat Selector and it cost only S$5.

Well, i think it's not worth to book the seat for your flight. At first, i thought that it is free seating, just like Air Asia, so it's better for you to book a seat. But, after I realised that they will automatically assign you a seat while you check in, I feel so regret. In another word, if you want to get a better seat, all you have to do is check in earlier!! and it'll save you S$5!!

When I was in arriving hall waiting for my friend to shop for their liquor (without knowing that my Samsonite Bag is still on the Belt), I saw a feedback counter. Since I got nothing to do, I wrote a feedback to them.

I can't remember what are their questions in the feedback form, I just remember that I gave an overall 'below the average' for the Budget Terminal. For the column of 'area for improvement', I wrote: limited shopping outlet in arriving hall and no toilets available in the baggage claim area.

Today, 9 May 2007, I received an email from them:

Dear Mr Wong Fue Gian

Thank you for your feedback which we received on 01 May 2007.

We note your comments on Budget Terminal and would like to explain that the fewer shops at Budget Terminal in contrast to Terminals 1 and 2 is due to the low passenger traffic at the present moment. To help us improve the retail offering at Budget Terminal, we would appreciate it if you could suggest the types of shops or any other facility which you would like to see in Budget Terminal. You can email Ms Crystal Gui at crystal_gui@caas.gov.sg to discuss further.

Regarding your comment that there are no toilets available in the baggage claim area at the Arrival Hall, please be informed that the original design of Budget Terminal does not cater for toilets in the baggage claim area. From our observations and several feedbacks from passengers, we have reviewed the design in that area and are currently converting some toilets in the Greeters Hall to serve the baggage claim area so that passengers in need of toilets can use them.

Mr Wong, thank you once again for your feedback as it helps us improve our services at the Budget Terminal.

Yours sincerely

Chee Soo Choong
Dy Head (Estate Management/Terminal 1)
Airport Management Division

First of all, I'm NOT Mr Wong!! This is not the first time ppl address me wrongly! Last time a Malay girl called me and looking for Mr Wong Fue Gian and she was scolded by me! Well, I didn't know that even a Chinese can't differentiate my gentle from my name! Damn it. My father should named me Wong Mui Mui so that ppl won't address me wrongly!

Secondly, I'm not sure what type of shop to be added in the arriving hall, if you got better idea, please email to them yourself.

Thirdly, if you travel by Budget Terminal next time and you see a toilet in baggage claim area, remember to thank me!!
