Henna - an Ancient Indian Body Art

Henna, also known as Mehendi, is the ancient art of bodypainting. It is painless, temporary tattoos. No needles, just a paste. Though it is traditionally applied to the hands and feet of women preparing for special ceremonies, but now both men and women enjoy the "temporary tattoo". The process of applying henna in this manner is called 'Mehendi', an ancient ritual and art form dating back 5,000 years and is considered good luck in India, Middle East and North Africa. No Indian wedding is ever complete without the mehendi.

~ Henna Powder ~

Henna is actually a natural product, a plant, growing in size from 3 to 5 feet and can vary slightly from region to region. Its leaves are then dried and ground to make the henna powder. The ingredient in henna that makes up the dye properties is called lawsome (lawsonia inermis). Since it is a natural product, there are no known side effects.

LRT in Malaysia - What a mess!

2 weeks ago, I attended a 2 days training course in KL, the training center is about 10 mins walking distance from the hotel that i stayed. However, we girls, you know lah, dun really like to walk so far, especially with high heals, therefore, someone suggested that we can go by LRT...which to me...ended up to be a stupid mistake!

Take a look at the LRT map in KL!!

What a mess~~!!!

The different lines are managed by different company! For example, Kelana Jaya Line (previously known as Putra Line) is operated by Rapid KL Train Service while KL Sentral to Titiwangsa Line is operated by another company KL Monorail. And there are another company, KTM Komputer which is in charged of Sentul to Port Klang and Rawang to Seremban Lines!

Different LRT line to be operated by several company, which means that we will have different facility, different LRT station, even different fees cost!

Imagine, if you are going to KLCC from Plaza Rakyat (where I stayed), you will have to go Mesjid Jamek, and then get out from the station, cross a road, to reach another station of Kelana Jaya Line and get in the train to KLCC. Kind of stupid to me!

There is only one station away from my hotel to the training center. However, it is very difficult for us to find the exact entrance to the LRT station if not with the help from a pedestrian. After buying the ticket, we have to ask for the direction to the platform coz there is no signboard telling us which way to go! I dun want to end up in going to the other wrong direction! Remember: You have to ask! If not, you will never find the correct way as there is no single signboard to lead you to the place that you want to go~ even on the platform!

OMG...

Malaysia Boleh? I doubt it.......

Hello, Who are you?

Last Saturday, I received a SMS from an unknown phone no, SMS saying that: "Hi, still remember me? Your loan offer still on? "

Well, basically, obviously and eventually, I dun remember you......But I still reply him: "Of course I remember you, and the offer still on, anything I can help? "

I hate ppl ask me: hey, still remember me? Well, most of the time i dun remember you, but I'll pretend that I knew you and I hate myself for telling the lies.......

This afternoon, a lady called me, first thing she said is: "Hi, still remember me? We spoke on the phone before, I wanna to ask you.........." *Hey, can you please tell me your name first?*

It reminds me with a story......

I'm not telling you that I'm too old and I can't remember your name. But just that I got to handle quite a number of customer a day and it's quite difficult for me to recall you, without you to tell me who you are actually.

So, please, I hope that next time customer call me, he'll say something like this: Hey, I'm XXX, from XXX, I wanna to ask you.......

If you say like this, trust me, I'll be very helpful......

You can make a difference!

Last post was saying about saving the environment, here is a story that I wanna to share with you......

Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer.

He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?"

The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfishes in the ocean."

"I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfishes into the ocean?"

"The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die."

"But, young man, don't you reaslise that there are miles and miles of beach and starfishes all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"

The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said, "It made a difference for that one."

There is something very special in each and every one of us. We have all been gifted with the ability to make a difference. And if we can become aware of that gift, we gained through the strength of our visions the power to shape the future.

Selling Comb to Monk

“Sigh,
